The serial number of the Cortexa is located on a white sticker on the back of the unit. This number also happens to be the MAC address for the LAN network port of the unit. If the sticker is not there for some reason, the serial # may also be obtained by following the steps below:
- From the main user interface screen of the Cortexa, click Settings, then setup. This will get you to the main configuration page.
- Find the “Network Management” section at the left-hand side of the page (about halfway down), and click the link in that section called “Network Status.”
- The LAN MAC address is displayed as the second item in the second section of this page (“LAN Interface” section). It is the number with colons between every two numbers. Be careful not to confuse this with the WAN MAC address that is in the top section of the page.
- Take the colons out of the LAN MAC address, and you’ve got the serial number of the unit.
